Made with biodynamic certified grapes, barrel fermented, and aged 16 months in extra tight grain French Oak. This sublime Chardonnay offers expressive citrus, apple, ripe fruit, and creamy texture with enough freshness to carry through a long lingering finish.
Some barrels are filled direct from press pan and others with minimal settling, batonage and long elevage in tight grain French oak. Intoxicating aromas of citrus, sea foam, mineral and baking spice. Deeply layered palate reveals fresh flavors of lemon curd and just ripe asian pear with perfectly balanced acidity to carry the long ethereal finish.
The high elevation Bois Joli Vineyard sits on the southwest facing tip of the Amity Hills, overlooking the city of Amity and the Coast Range, directly facing the Van Duzer Corridor. The 2018 Chardonnay was whole cluster pressed long cycle with minimal settling, barrel fermentation and elevage in extra tight grain French oak. Moderate batonage and finished in stainless tank prior to bottling. Aromas of wet stone, tree fruit and exotic spice. The citrus focused mid palate shows depth, silken texture and mouthwatering acidity
