The influence of barrel on this Pinot gris leads to a richer and more elegant expression of the grape. Austere but brooding characters of Italian plum, strawberry, peach, apricot and cream mark this broad and eclectic wine. Brioche and an element of spiced, preserved citrus keeps the weighty, persistent palate together.
A blend of Alsatian varietals results in an abrosia that teems with aromas of peach, white tea, nectar, and honeysuckle. Golden raspberries mark the nose and palate and the plush, soft texture of the wine is at home with the stone fruit, orange oil, and lychee found in abundance in this tantalizing wine.
